RESTORING MS OUTLOOK EXPRESS

We can easily restore Microsoft Outlook Express and Address Book, however certain rules must be followed for this to be done correctly.

Below are instructions and tips, which must be followed to ensure trouble free and successful restoration of your information.

Restoring MS Outlook Express Emails, Address Book and Calendar


  1. 1. Open the backup software, click on the "Restore" tab and follow the normal restore procedures for restore.
  2. See Restoring data for more information.
  3. Select either the complete folder or just the individual .dbx file/s that you wish to restore.
  4. Restore to either Original or New Location as you wish.

    Note: If you restore to a new location, you will need to ensure that you transfer the data (.dbx files) to the appropriate folder on your computer so that your Outlook Express program can read them.

Restoring your Address Book

  1. From within the backup software, go to the "Restore" tab and follow the normal restore procedures (as noted above).
  2. Restore to Original Location.
  3. Once restored, open your Outlook Express program
  4. Click on FILE > IMPORT > ADDRESS BOOK
  5. Your address book details will now be restored
