BACKUP

Saving your backup definitions

  1. Once files have been selected you need to save your definition.
  2. Click the Save icon on the toolbar or select File > Save from the menu.
  3. When saved the definition will appear in the left hand window.

  4. You will notice that when you left click to highlight a definition it displays the following information:

    Name This is the unique identifier for a particular backup definition.
    Frequency This displays how often the backup will run (daily, weekly, monthly).
    Last run This denotes the "last" time that the defintion was automatically back up (this is not updated if a manual backup is carried out)
    Next run This notes the "next" time that the definition will be automatically backed up..
    Active This states if a definition is currently set to automatically backup or not.
  5. If you ever wish to amend or update your definition (add or remove files, change the time or backup cycle etc):

    • Left click on the definition so it is highlighted
    • Make the necessary amendment
    • Click SAVE
