HOW TO BACKUP MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA
When you have installed the backup software onto your new Vista computer or if you have
upgraded your existing machine to Vista:
1. Right click on the desktop shortcut (icon) and select 'Run
as administrator'
2. If a new machine, set up your backups in the normal way. If you have upgraded an
existing machines, you will need to delete the original definitions and re-set up your
definitions, calling them exactly the same names.
IMPORTANT NOTE
If you run the backup software 'normally' (i.e. not as administrator)
on Vista with User Account Control enabled, strange behaviour could
result, including:
1. Changes to backup definitions and software configuration will not
affect automated backups.
2. Activity will be logged in a different version of the ClientLog.txt
file to that which is used for automated backups.
We strongly recommend that you always run the software as administrator on Vista.
